IPP Company History

Imaging Presentation Partners (“IPP”) was founded in 1994, to develop visual, technical and consultative processes to assist the Trial Team representing Stac Electronics in its patent litigation against Microsoft.  The ensuing victory, a $120 million patent infringement jury verdict and a world-wide injunction against Microsoft, drew widespread attention and acclaim for both the prevailing attorneys from Irell & Manella, LLP, and their technology support team, IPP.  IPP quickly became known as a driver of technological advancement within the courtroom, and as an industry leader for in-court, multimedia display.

Building upon its early record of tactical success, IPP expanded its service offerings to include Jury Consulting and Courtroom Graphics, becoming a sole-source provider for consulting and trial presentation.

More recently, IPP provided Jury Consulting, Courtroom Graphics, and In-Court Presentation services to the successful Winston & Strawn Trial Team in its victory for Monsanto Co. in Monsanto Co. v. E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co.  The jury verdict of $1 billion dollars for patent infringement was recognized as the number three verdict in The National Law Journal’s Top 100 Verdicts of 2012 and the fifth-largest patent verdict in history.

IPP continues to raise the bar in litigation consulting and technology with tested tools in the courtroom, including its highly successful use of Shadow Juries.   In another recent potential billion dollar case, IPP's Principal Consultants assisted the victorious Winston & Strawn team in their defense of the Norvir Antitrust lawsuit with not only jury selection and witness preparation, but also the strategic use of a Shadow Jury.  The Shadows' feedback was deemed instrumental in the jury's no antitrust finding.
